Methodology and Sources

We wanted to compare the prices of designer items in different countries. Using lists of the most iconic fashion items for inspiration, we selected a mix of handbags, clothes, and accessories with much higher price tags than average non-designer items of the same type.

To compare the price of items in different countries, we went to each designer’s website and noted down the price of the item in question. We then changed the location on the website to different countries and noted down the prices for each country, before converting these to GBP (correct as of April 15 2021).
