Royal Bank of Scotland offer travel insurance as an extra feature on some of their packaged bank accounts. Their various packaged current accounts come with separate levels of travel insurance. Each offers cover for trips of different maximum lengths and with different restrictions on where in the world cover applies. In some cases, the insurance can also apply to your partner and dependants, as well as yourself. It can include cover for medical expenses, cancellation and your cash.

One of the benefits of the Royalties accounts. Only time I tried to claim when my travel companion had a bereavement his aunt wasn't considered a close relative in terms of the policy.

Royal Bank Of Scotland Royalties Gold Travel Insurance

I have held my royalties gold account for some years and have never had to make a claim on the travel insurance till now. I am disgusted with the way I have been treated. My mum died 7/9/2012 and I should have gone away 12/12/2012. I have sent a copy of the death certificate and two letters from my mums GP but they are still not happy. They now want a medical questionaire filling in. I will be down grading the account and go elsewere for travel insurance.
