One of the benefits of the Royalties accounts. Only time I tried to claim when my travel companion had a bereavement his aunt wasn't considered a close relative in terms of the policy.

I have held my royalties gold account for some years and have never had to make a claim on the travel insurance till now. I am disgusted with the way I have been treated. My mum died 7/9/2012 and I should have gone away 12/12/2012. I have sent a copy of the death certificate and two letters from my mums GP but they are still not happy. They now want a medical questionaire filling in. I will be down grading the account and go elsewere for travel insurance.
