The sweep automatically transfers money that the customer does not need for day-to-day expenses from their Halifax Current Account into their Asset Reserve Account, where it will earn a higher rate of interest. All customers need to do is decide the amount (a minimum of £50) which should remain in the Halifax Current Account and the frequency of the sweep. The second method is a fixed amount can be transferred at regular intervals.
