TSB Savings Reviews

TSB saving account

II would always encourage friends to shop around before committing to sny bank . Although savings would be ideal in my world they really don't exist at the moment. But TSB have a variety of savings accounts to meet varying needs. They still encourage savings awareness and review your accounts as and when you need to. The bank has a friendly approach to all. I would always eencourage others to save and like the manner in which TSB undertake there business.

Customer Service was polite and efficient and carnt do enough for you

They help the local economy thrive, they have drawbacks, for instance the benefits of the student accounts which at not as attractive as others in the market! They're customer service is great, they are very helpful and always have a smile on their face which goes a Long way in my books. They are alway eager to help you in what ever situation you have

TSB Classic Plus 'Current' Account

by daryl87, 3 days ago
High interest rate
Recommended by daryl87

Although advertised as a current account, this is in effect a savings account as it offers 5% which is the highest rate you can find anywhere on the market. Higher even than ISA accounts, after they deduct the tax. You can have two accounts as well with them and as long as you show £500 going into the account, you will get the monthly interest. Their customer service is excellent as well, they provide information clearly and don't rush through as other bank customer service teams do. Their online bank uses fast payments and has a very clean look. I use their banking app mostly, and find it extremely good. You can now add new people you want to send money to on the app, which you previously could not do. So that is a real plus while on the go and need to pay someone you haven't paid before quickly.

Interest on your money

by arthurg72, 1 week ago
Interest at a good rate
Only paid on the first £2,000
Recommended by arthurg72

5% interest is paid on the first £2,ooo of your savings, which is great, and it's a current account too. The interest is paid with no fuss. The account can be set up within 10 minutes, the website is easy to manage, with a good level of password security. So far I have had no problems and I would recommend anyone to get an account with the TSB, as the Cash ISA rates are particularly poor at the moment. Why would you bother locking funds away when you can have interest paid on the first £2,000 each month

great account for interest rate

interest rate
Recommended by tonyl84

although this is technically a current account, getting 5% interest gross on the account is unbeaten in the market - yes you have to pay in £500 per month and the interest is only payable up to £2000 but with online banking it could not be easier to set up a standing order to pay the money in and then skim off the excess over £2000 to an alternative account. A married couple can have one each making 5% on £4000

TSB Current Account

by Priceless, 3 weeks ago
Great interest rate of 5%
Only payable on first £2,000 in the account.
Recommended by Priceless

Beats many High Street Savings Account, the newish Current Account from TSB has an interest rate of 5% (4.89%APR) and requires to be funded with £500 per month. This £500 doesn't have to stay within the account and can be moved to another account as required. Interest is payable on the first £2,000 in the account. You can have up to 2 accounts allowing you to achieve 5% gross on £4,000 of savings. One of the best products around. Other good interest paying accounts seem to fall away after 12 to 18 months.

Best Savings rate in the market

by Moogy, 1 month ago
Fantastic Rate, great customer service
£500 per month is a little high for a savings account but happy
Recommended by Moogy

We have only just got this savings account as we saw the fantastic rate advertised. 5% is the best I've seen as long as you pay in £500 per month. Makes it easy to switch money from our stub current account to the savings account when needed. Applied in the branch and the customer service girl was very professional and knowledgable and it only took about 20 minutes. Would definitely recommend this savings account as it isn't just a promotional rate for new customers. This rate is available to everyone and doesn't have an expiry date.

Tsb bank account savings

by meliss90, 1 month ago
Current account
Low isa rate
Recommended by meliss90

The Isa has very poor interest rates but the current account is great. 5% at the moment up to 2,000. You can have two current accounts which attract this rate. It is taxable but it's a better deal than the ISA.

I haven't dealt with customer service much yet as they are still a fairly new bank but I've always had previously great customer service when it was lloyds tsb.

Low interest

Standard service, nothing to complain about, just as you woul expect. Surprised when lloyds tsb split I wasn't given a choice who to go with though. However I have never had any complaints but I do majority of banking online, when I have had to go into a branch the que always stretches to the door whilst only 2 clerks are working.

Small but perfectly formed

by sjstuf, 1 month ago
Easy to manage; reasonable and stable interest rate
Recommended by sjstuf

I have a total of 4 accounts with TSB, and pass money between them to maximise interest. One is a Vantage account which I've had for years; two are those new Classic Plus accounts which pay the best interest rates around. The fourth is a monthly saver account which neatly mops up any excess cash.

When I sign into TSB online, all the accounts are there on one page so I can simply smooth them all off to take the best advantage of their respective rates. The monthly saver doesn't pay as much interest as the Classic Plus accounts, but has the advantage that you can keep building it and receiving interest on all the money in there.

You can only pay in a maximum of £250 per month, though, hence the juggling. Otherwise, I'd just pay in as much or as little as I could afford each time.
