I have mixed feelings about Halifax. In some areas they are brilliant, good offers for customers and well tailored to my needs. However, on numerous occasions I have struggled to obtain information from them and they do not seem to know what department to forward me onto. Their limited knowledge of their brand meant that I spent a huge amount of time of the telephone, which was incredibly costly and not what I would expect from a bank. I have also had trouble when attending a branch, the staff can be unwilling to serve, for example when trying to pay money into an account. I have been told on one occasion that I should just use the telephone- when my telephone banking was not set up!
