Bank of Scotland is just all right with me

I have been with the Bank of Scotland since the dawn of time, but took my current account away last year, because they had no satisfactory interest bearing product. Which is pretty hopeless in this day and age. The savings account is still there, but that could just be inertia. I am really not entirely sure. At the same time, the bank is a stable institution; well, Lloyds is. In Scotland, we have no senior staff of course, but that does not matter much to your ordinary johnny, I suppose. Must make it hard for bigger business customers, I would guess

Savings Accounts

I found the product, a savings account quite a good thing to have. To start with your savings account they ask you your details. You could get a savings account from as young as 5 years old which is a good thing so you can save and save your money for your future life. The customer service is brilliant and they are super friendly. You can mange your account from online.

Savings account

I have never had any bad experience with Bank of Scotland. They don't charge me to access my money which is nice. I have had a savings account with them for around 7 years now and I only use the savings account to keep money in short term so I can't comment on any other aspect, apart from the customer service, I do banking with them online and over the phone and on the phone they are always pleasant, friendly and helpful.

no charge for withdrawals

Bank of Scotland current account - used for savingssavings

As the Classic Vantage current account offers 3% on balances £3000- 5000 and customers can open up to three, I use this bank for savings. There were hassles in setting up - I had to chase the bank up regards certain issues initially but now all seems settled - fingers crossed. The account requires a monthly minimum of £1000 in per month - but ther's no need for any direct debits are needed, a bonus.

Higher interest rate

Poor customer service at times

Bank of Scotland Savings Account

I'm happy with the service I get at Bank of Scotland, the interest rate isn't great but at the moment interest rates for all saving accounts seem to be very low
