The 6.6% AER Easy Access Savings Account
What's the deal?
Alliance & Leicester are currently offering 6.6% AER variable on their eSaver Issue 2 account, making it the best return available on an internet savings account that allows access.
What's more, this market leading account gives you extra security in the form of a rate guarantee so that you can be confident that your savings will be earning at least 0.50% more than the Bank of England base rate until 29th February, 2010.
You can invest anything from £1 to £500,000 in the internet-operated eSaver Issue 2 and interest is paid on a monthly basis.
As this is a limited access account it's ideal for people who need a bit of incentive to save as, although you can access your money at any time, no interest is paid during any month in which a withdrawal is made. The exception to this is July when you can make as many withdrawals as you like without forfeiting interest payments.
How do I benefit?
To take advantage of the 6.6% AER rate simply open an
Alliance & Leicester eSaver Issue 2 account and start saving.
As an extra incentive to save, Alliance & Leicester are running a free £10,000 cash prize draw, open to all eSaver customers who have £10,000 or more in their account on 31st December, 2008.
Expiry
There is no expiry date advertised however Alliance & Leicester do acknowledge that this account is available as a limited offer.
Conditions
This account is open to savers over the age of 18.
