Prudential pension plan

I opened my Prudential Pension via my employee by paying additional voluntary contributions on top of my company pension. I only contributed for two years when the company stopped using them. At the same time they offered the chance to pay additional contributions to the company scheme, which was much more beneficial. The pot of money has not increased with any bonuses for a number of years.

Prudential Pension

I had to take out a private pension as part of my divorce settlement.

It was through a Financial Advisor that Prudential was recommended to me.

It would be nice if Prudential did send yearly updates informing customers on how your pension is doing, whether it is going up in value or going down, but Prudential do not seem to do this.

Prudential Pensions

I took out this policy through a limited company and only paid into it for a few years. Since then I get a statement from them once a year and in another 15 years hopefully it will give me a small pension. My husband also was included on the policy his has paid up and we have now bought an annuity. Unfortunatly at the time the markets were down and we didn't get a very good deal. The Prudential however was giving the best deal we could find so I guess not their fault. The rules are about to change on what you can do with your pension fund and had these rules been in place at the time there is no way we would have bought the annuity. Prudential gave a good return on the pension fund and good customer service.

AVC - quick and painless

I paid into the Prudential AVC for about 15 years and took out the Annuity about 5 years ago. I was very happy with the paperwork which came explaining the options to me. It was easier and clearer to make the choices than I thought it was going to be. I had horror stories about the length of time other people were having to wait to have their AVCs sorted and paid. But I was happy with the Prudential system. I even spoke to a person who was very helpful.

Great paperwork.

Prudential Annuity Pension

I only had a very small amount to buy an Annuity. I took my pension pot out before my retirement date because payouts on pensions were falling rapidly. I did shop around but perhaps not as well as I should have done. The Prudential, at the time, were really the best around, and I was quite happy with the monthly payout. At the present time, I certainly don't think that I could have done any better if I was buying an Annuity today. The Prudential have always been a 'family friend' and I am very happy with the service I get from them. My pension is paid monthly into my Bank, and there is always someone on the end of the phone to speak to if I have ever had to clarify anything. They send me a Statement every year without me having to ask for it, which is good to pass onto the Tax office.

A friendly, helpful company with years of experience.
