Good simple service

A good simple straightforward service, clear and easy to understand documents and staff easy to access over phone or online as we live a long way from any branches. Nothing to complain about as all our contacts were dealt with efficiently and promptly Quick receipt of letters and documents As with most products you end up shopping around as they value new customers more than existing

West brom building society do not treat their customers fairly

I have a complaint with wbbs and they refuse to listen to me. Letters take for ever to be answered and their call centre never passes messages on. Their customer services department consists of one poor girl called Holly and if she is at lunch or sick then nothing happens. If you want to experience good customer service then don't go anywhere near them.

They are victimising me. They won't listen to my complaint

West Brom Mortgages

I've got an account with the West Brom and it's handled very well. The company are easy to contact and it's in the UK. The mortgage rate is great as it's a tracker mortgage (not sure if they do the same mortgage that I've got now). Staff were helpful and offered advise when contacted.

Helpful staff; great interest rate

slow, unorganised and painful mortgage service

I applied for mortgage with west brom looking at the products they had. Its been good few weeks now, when asked for update, all I get is that their team is behind schedule and my papers would be looked at next week. Also they have asked for the documents I have already submitted again, which is very strange and shows that they are unorganised.

They charged me hefty completion fee at the time of application itself rather than at the time of completion.

Its been good 6 weeks since I applied. They also delayed my valuation.

Overall poor service and would not suggest people to apply mortgage with them.
