First time Ulster Bank mortgage

We took our mortgage out with Ulster Bank back in 2009 and were offered a discounted deal which at the time was a little cheaper than others. We used to receive annual statements in December of our payments but we haven't received this in at least 2 years- something I think is very important. Our discounted deal has expired now yet they won't give us a new mortgage saying we can't afford it...a little strange when we would be paying less per month than we are currently. We shall be moving home in less than a year and we shall not be taking out a new mortgage with them. Each time we have contacted their customer service department, I felt that they didn't really care about our custom.

Ulster Bank Mortgage

We applied for an Ulster Bank Mortgage in April 2012 they are a waste of time. We were asked by our financial adviser to complete the necessary forms and supply the usual information, we supplied everything required. They kept coming back for weeks upon weeks for more information including divorce papers, every week they asked for another piece of additional information- after 5 weeks of this they then said no. The reason they were including my daughter's nursery fees - which we would no longer be paying because we were moving near family anyway these were paid for by tax credits. The Ulster Bank point blankly refused to actually acknowledge this. The customer service was non existant. People were extremely rude. Anyway that was the Tuesday 2 days later we were with Santander went into their office and were offered a mortgage within the hour. After all the weeks of stress worry and nearly losing the house we were able to relax.

5/6 weeks wasting our time and then they said no
