Legal and general house insurance

For a reasonable fee our home is covered. We have never had to claim so can't comment on if they payout or not but what we can comment on are the perks.

Free AA breakdown is a real bonus plus I think we could upgrade to European cover for only a small fee. Not bad. We have a already had to use it and it has saved us getting breakdown cover.

L&G Home Insurance - The proof of the pudding is in the eating.

With all insurances, you can not really tell much about the company until you make a claim. Thankfully, I have not had to put this to the test yet. The premium was very competitive but this is the first year and I have a feeling they will hike the premium next year - time to do a search on a price comparison site then! I bought the policy via a cashback site but L&G have declined to honour it - not a good start to our relationship!

Legal and General Insurance

My first claim in 40 years was a brick through my Lounge windows which were secondary glazed. I rang LandG who refused to allow me to contact the original installer (Everest) as I had to use theirs.(Evander) To cut a long story short 14 months later I am still trying to get satisfaction. The secondary glazing which should have had safety glass in it did not and the glass had been jammed into the frame, consequently it cracked. Evander came and replaced it again with ordinary glass which also cracked. Legal and General after 12 months and after going to the head of complaints then agreed to allow the original installer (Everest) to replace it. The problem is now that Everest cannot use the original frame as Evander had damaged it because of jamming in the glass and we have to have a new frame which will not match the old frame. We will have one third one colour and two thirds another colour in our large bay window.

Never pay out! Complete set of con men

Have used these guys for 5 years now but never again. Had a fairly minor claim for damage caused to my conservatory roof and floor. Telephone advisor did everything possible to avoid paying- using every piece of small print possible. And to think they had got me to upgrade to their Premium policy.

They are competitive - but then they will be, as never pay out!

Ignore these jokers and go elsewhere to a professional company. Might as well throw your money in the river with this lot!

Legal and General Home Insurance

This is a great value product offering a level of cover on par or better than other products on the market, this is a positive review in itself. Fortunately I have not had to use the policy therefore I cannot comment on the real things!

Low cost , great cover

No negatives
