Digital PR Executive - Cirencester, Gloucestershire

We are on the look-out for a Digital PR Executive to help us secure media exposure online and through social channels as well as in print and broadcast.

Your role would involve:

  • Building excellent relationships with journalists, broadcasters, bloggers, key influencers and the media in a variety of different sectors
  • Keeping up-to-date with news stories to identify opportunities
  • Writing press releases, feature articles, quotes and blogs
  • Helping to maintain and grow our social media profiles and seek out engagement opportunities
  • Helping to build relationships with the broadcast media
  • Securing case studies for press campaigns
  • Managing a calendar of PR opportunities
  • Helping to sell-in press releases to the national press
  • Understanding target audiences and targeting relevant media
  • Building and maintaining a press database

You'll need:

  • A solid understanding of the digital environment and social platforms
  • Strong and confident communication skills
  • Excellent writing skills, ability to write copy quickly an advantage
  • Experience dealing with journalists, bloggers and key influencers
  • Previous PR experience or a demonstrable experience of passion for the industry
  • A strong understanding of the role digital PR has on SEO
  • Excellent IT and internet skills
  • Experience in obtaining visibility and mentions and driving traffic from high profile online publications is beneficial
  • A good understanding of Google and other search-engines would be beneficial
  • Qualifications in a PR/Marketing subject would be an advantage

We are on the lookout for an experienced Social Media Executive to help define and deliver a successful social media strategy that complements our wider marketing and PR communications outreach.

You will be responsible for growing our social presence through timely, high quality communications with consumers via our social media platforms; designing and executing strategies that have impact and feeding ideas that will drive social growth back into the business.

You will pro-actively communicate in social spaces and keep bang up-to-date with the latest social media developments and trends. With a mature understanding of brand, you will also monitor brand sentimentality online and report findings to the marketing and PR teams.

Working closely with our PR and Brand Marketing Managers, you will champion the development and growth of the money.co.uk brand across social media platforms.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Engage users socially with exciting, engaging, timely and high quality communication on brand
  • Build a sizeable, engaged social following on each of our social media platforms
  • Maintain and improve engagement and reach across all of our social channels
  • Interact socially with potential users, key influencers, journalists and commercial partners
  • Design and deliver unique and creative campaign ideas that capture users' attention and gets them to engage
  • Contribute to the overall content calendar themes for 12 month period and create/adapt content to fulfil the calendar on a weekly basis
  • Develop a deep understanding of consumer opinion through social listening and pro-active communication with current and potential users
  • Monitor the effectiveness of our own social campaigns and track competitor activity to help pinpoint opportunities or areas we need to address to report back to the business
  • Support brand campaigns as and when they run through adapting/producing content through our chosen social platforms.
  • Work with the customer care team to answer queries and quickly turn issues into positive experiences
  • Stay bang up to date with digital culture including analyzing and acting on the latest trends, languages and behaviors
  • Research, analyse and test new and emerging social media platforms
  • Be the business 'go to' for social media queries, analysis and outreach
  • Stay up to date with industry and business developments and plan complimentary campaigns
  • Work closely with the PR and Marketing teams to develop innovative ideas and ensure all strategies are coordinated rolled out in a timely manner

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience (3-4 years) and success in a similar social media role
  • Passionate user/knowledge of social media channels including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube
  • An exceptional understanding of the digital environment
  • Excellent and confident communication skills
  • Solid written communication skills
  • Expertise with social tools; Hootsuite, Brandwatch or equivalents
  • Basic video editing knowledge (desirable but not essential)

  • Developing both frontend and backend systems in PHP and MySQL
  • Creating efficient HTML and CSS from graphical layouts/designs
  • Using jQuery to enhance UX

Skills & Qualifications

Applicants will require the following key technical knowledge:

  • Experienced in OO PHP development
  • Experienced in MySQL development
  • Experienced in CSS/HTML/JavaScript/JQuery development

  • Full LAMP stack knowledge
