Social Media Expert - Cirencester, Gloucestershire

We are on the lookout for an experienced Social Media Executive to help define and deliver a successful social media strategy that complements our wider marketing and PR communications outreach.

You will be responsible for growing our social presence through timely, high quality communications with consumers via our social media platforms; designing and executing strategies that have impact and feeding ideas that will drive social growth back into the business.

You will pro-actively communicate in social spaces and keep bang up-to-date with the latest social media developments and trends. With a mature understanding of brand, you will also monitor brand sentimentality online and report findings to the marketing and PR teams.

Working closely with our PR and Brand Marketing Managers, you will champion the development and growth of the money.co.uk brand across social media platforms.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Engage users socially with exciting, engaging, timely and high quality communication on brand
  • Build a sizeable, engaged social following on each of our social media platforms
  • Maintain and improve engagement and reach across all of our social channels
  • Interact socially with potential users, key influencers, journalists and commercial partners
  • Design and deliver unique and creative campaign ideas that capture users' attention and gets them to engage
  • Contribute to the overall content calendar themes for 12 month period and create/adapt content to fulfil the calendar on a weekly basis
  • Develop a deep understanding of consumer opinion through social listening and pro-active communication with current and potential users
  • Monitor the effectiveness of our own social campaigns and track competitor activity to help pinpoint opportunities or areas we need to address to report back to the business
  • Support brand campaigns as and when they run through adapting/producing content through our chosen social platforms.
  • Work with the customer care team to answer queries and quickly turn issues into positive experiences
  • Stay bang up to date with digital culture including analyzing and acting on the latest trends, languages and behaviors
  • Research, analyse and test new and emerging social media platforms
  • Be the business 'go to' for social media queries, analysis and outreach
  • Stay up to date with industry and business developments and plan complimentary campaigns
  • Work closely with the PR and Marketing teams to develop innovative ideas and ensure all strategies are coordinated rolled out in a timely manner

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience (3-4 years) and success in a similar social media role
  • Passionate user/knowledge of social media channels including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube
  • An exceptional understanding of the digital environment
  • Excellent and confident communication skills
  • Solid written communication skills
  • Expertise with social tools; Hootsuite, Brandwatch or equivalents
  • Basic video editing knowledge (desirable but not essential)

In this interesting and varied role you would work as part of our Data team to look after all the product information within our comparison tables and manage communication with our users.

In this diverse role you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the integrity, completeness and accuracy of information about financial products and providers on money.co.uk
  • Identifying new financial providers (banks, building societies, insurers etc) and researching the products they offer
  • Collating, updating and managing the information about financial products and providers necessary to power money.co.uk comparison tables
  • Working with the Commercial, UX, PR, Marketing and Editorial teams to ensure all on and off-site financial promotions are accurate and up to date
  • Ensuring all new and existing providers listed on money.co.uk have the correct regulatory permissions and act in compliance with current regulations and requirements
  • Supporting the customer services team with customer telephone calls, emails and feedback left via the website
  • Investigating and resolving data related customer queries
  • Assisting the Content Team with ad hoc financial data tasks

The role requires:

  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong research skills
  • A good understanding of the types of financial products on the market
  • Previous experience in information and/or data management
  • An ability to multi-task, prioritise effectively and work under pressure with a high level of accuracy
