Price not bad but not worth switching for awful customer service
I joined FirstUtility because at the time they offered the best deal for my needs. They promptly discontinued the tariff I was on to one equivalent to my previous energy company.
left FirstUtility a year ago and despite contacting the home movers department and giving them my final meter readings, I continued to be billed and even threatened with damaged credit ratings by an external agency. I have spent many hours queueing or on hold, listening to the same 30 seconds of dreadful music on a loop, to be falsely assured that the problem will be resolved. FirstUtility staff frequently deny what is written in my records (until at my insistence they eventually acknowledge what is written on their own computer), and never follow with promised actions. I am still waiting for my account to be closed. If I knew this utilities company would be so unprofessional, I would not touch them with a bargepole.
