Great bank would recommend

I transferred to Santander and found them to be a great bank. It was easy to join - did it all on-line - and they have found ways of making my money work via 123 account where they pay me for paying my bills through them - at last a bank that pays me. The customer service is exemplary. They are always very polite and eager to help. I set up a small overdraft facility which I felt is not overpriced. Suggested my husband also change to Santander and he moved banks soon after me. He is also very pleased with them. My 3 children are now thinking about moving to Santander. My youngest son wanted to join as a student but was denied - we do not know why so this is a slight negative against them.

Santander Current Account

I was transferred to Santander when they took over the Alliance & Leicester. Santander are excellent at solving any problems I may have (not that I have had many) and give sound financial advice about their products when asked, however they don't recommend changing a product when the interest drops, it is up to you to request a different product with a higher interest rate. The internet banking site is very customer friendly and easy to use. You can also select whether to have paper statements or not.

Great Customer Service. Good online banking too.

Great current account paying cash back. Can always speak to a member of staff quickly and easily on the phone. Recently was scammed and the bank were great and got my money back very quickly. The process was dealt with quickly and efficiently. Online banking is straight forward and the layout is easy to use. Can pay in cheques at local post office too so don't always need to travel to a branch

current accounts that support you

I am on a debt management plan and was only to have a cash card account, which was so restrictive and embarrassing, with a bank I had been with for 17 years - Santander offered me the 123 account with a debit card and cheque book and changed over all my direct debits etc with no slip ups or delays, I get money back from them every month on my direct debits, I cannot have an overdraft which suits me, so easy to check account regularly on line and if I have a question or concern whether it is popping in to branch or calling they are always quick to respond and helpful

easy, money back, good service

Switch to Santander 123 account

I was persuaded by the bank to switch from a zero account to this account, but as it's more like a saver account at 3% up to £20K, it's the best one around. The switch was relatively painless; I only had to chase up one. Also I receive more in rewards from my Direct Debits than I pay out in fees. I have recommended it to my sons. My experience with my local Santander is better than that of one of my sons and his wife with their local branch. I have always found the Customer service at my branch very helpful.
