I transferred to Santander and found them to be a great bank. It was easy to join - did it all on-line - and they have found ways of making my money work via 123 account where they pay me for paying my bills through them - at last a bank that pays me. The customer service is exemplary. They are always very polite and eager to help. I set up a small overdraft facility which I felt is not overpriced. Suggested my husband also change to Santander and he moved banks soon after me. He is also very pleased with them. My 3 children are now thinking about moving to Santander. My youngest son wanted to join as a student but was denied - we do not know why so this is a slight negative against them.

I was transferred to Santander when they took over the Alliance & Leicester. Santander are excellent at solving any problems I may have (not that I have had many) and give sound financial advice about their products when asked, however they don't recommend changing a product when the interest drops, it is up to you to request a different product with a higher interest rate. The internet banking site is very customer friendly and easy to use. You can also select whether to have paper statements or not.

Great current account paying cash back. Can always speak to a member of staff quickly and easily on the phone. Recently was scammed and the bank were great and got my money back very quickly. The process was dealt with quickly and efficiently. Online banking is straight forward and the layout is easy to use. Can pay in cheques at local post office too so don't always need to travel to a branch

I am on a debt management plan and was only to have a cash card account, which was so restrictive and embarrassing, with a bank I had been with for 17 years - Santander offered me the 123 account with a debit card and cheque book and changed over all my direct debits etc with no slip ups or delays, I get money back from them every month on my direct debits, I cannot have an overdraft which suits me, so easy to check account regularly on line and if I have a question or concern whether it is popping in to branch or calling they are always quick to respond and helpful

Switch to Santander 123 account

I was persuaded by the bank to switch from a zero account to this account, but as it's more like a saver account at 3% up to £20K, it's the best one around. The switch was relatively painless; I only had to chase up one. Also I receive more in rewards from my Direct Debits than I pay out in fees. I have recommended it to my sons. My experience with my local Santander is better than that of one of my sons and his wife with their local branch. I have always found the Customer service at my branch very helpful.

So much a no-brainer- your current account paying more interest than most savings accounts! OK you have to pay £5 a month in charges but you get more back than that on the bills paid by direct debit. Web based, telephone or in-store to open and operate. Have had no problems with this account in the last eighteen months since opening the account. What little interaction I have had with customer services in this period has been excellent. Overall I thoroughly recommend this account- my only regret is in not opening it sooner!

I transferred to the Santander 123 account as a result of searching for a savings account. Not only do I use it as a current account but I am receiving 3% interest on the account balance up to £20000. Santander only receive average customer service reviews but I have had no problems managing the account so far. I have found the online management efficient and received polite help in the branch.

I took out the Santander 123 current account a few years back not to use as a current account but more like a savings account as it offers 3% interest on balances of between £3000-£20000. You have to pay in £500 per month and have two direct debits on it.You do also get cashback on everyday spending. So far I have been impressed with the product. Moving money from this account to any others you hold with different banks is quick and easy - says can take two hours but in my experience usually much faster. Customer service I have found to be good and I would recommend this product.

I have had nothing but excellent service throughout the changes to my bank over the years. It started off as Girobank, the alliance and Leicester and finally, I hope, Santander. I have even gone into a Santander bank in Spain and received the help I needed despite not speaking Spanish. any problems always quickly sorted. No charges ever given to me for using my card. In Europe I have tried my card in Mainland Spain, the Balairic Islands the Canaryislands and in Portugal with never a problem or a charge. I was however charged a small amount for using my card in Turkey, as a nominal fee really I felt,

Constant Excellent Service

Truley none that I am aware of.
