RBS Account - great customer service

RBS are very fair and don't charge very often if I go overdrawn. There is never a long wait when I call customer service and I always end up speaking to a very polite British person.

Their online system is great too and very easy to use. They also have a great app that is easy to use too.

I would definitely recommend RBS to anyone looking for a current account.

RBS - Current Account

RBS - bit of a crap Bank re access to Branches, charges and paying Direct Debits on a Friday when due out on the Monday. Plus they are often in the news regarding the latest Banking scandal, but the best Customer Service (telephone) of all the main players! Usually manage to get any Charges lifted very quickly. They seem to genuinely want to help when you are having financial difficulties.

RBS current account

Went slightly into my overdraft for the first time and was charged for it. I was mortified when I noticed the charge and called customer services explaining when I upgraded my account some years back I had a free overdraft. Apparently it had changed and I wasn't informed. The customer services rep was unhelpful and more or less said tough, I would have had a leaflet sent through explaining the changes!

RBS Managed account

I have a managed account with RBS via Think Money. This makes my monthly budgeting really easy by having all the bills set aside at the start of the month. This way, I know exactly what I have to spend for the month and all bills, such as Mortgage, Utilities, phones, council tax etc are guaranteed to be paid. Transferring money between accounts and to others is easily done via internet banking. Only issue is with the time to clear cheques through the account. 10 days!!

They have given us 30 years of service!

We have been with the bank for over 30 years and have always been happy with the service. We have two current accounts, one for all the bills, direct debits and standing orders and the other for day to day expenditure. This has worked well and helped us make sure we never go overdrawn. I don't have to go in to the bank itself very often as I do online banking, but when I have to go in, the staff are friendly and helpful.
