I was an account holder with h.o.f. For over thirty years no problems until new day took over online account banking was a nightmare nothing but problems no customer service most unhelpful because of this I closed my account h o f has lost a good customer because of new days customer non existent service each time you tried to log in stated you were not registered even although you had had to phone several times to try and resolve this issue a few times was ok then it would happen again to be told yesterday for the first time that they had had issues why was I never told this before said I wanted to close my account no problem was told after all those years of having an account what fantastic customer loyalty
At one time I could pay my account with ease since NewDay have taken over I cannot find my account or where to pay, so I will wait for them to contact me if ever, Santander were bad enough I had a£1000 House of Fraser MasterCard, one day I noticed it had been reduced without warning to £800, again it was reduced to £500 without warning. not a good card to have
So I have had this for 2 years. In the last 8 months I began looking at the points awarded. It should be 1 point for every £1 outside HoF. So this month I spent £320 and my points are 205. The helpline are clueless. They won't even go through my statement and see for themselves it is clearly wrong. Yet another email has been sent through to some other department. This has been done umpteen times and not resolved. I am just going to keep pestering them every month till they admit there is something wrong with their system. I have already had £80 in credits to my account because New Day cannot manage this points system properly. Before them it was Santander cards and it worked fine. DO NOT take one out unless you want hassle or are happy to get less points than you should.
I went a head and brought in to the sales rep about making the interest free purchase for the month, even though I had full payment to buy the item, BAD IDEA!
I have had several store cards/credit cards, and this by far was my worse experience!
I missed two payments because I had swapped banks and the payment didn't go through to house of Fraser new day and I didn't realise,
And I would get several phone calls a day from them to make the full payment owed on the phone almost borderline to harassment the way they would talk and also say I would need to make payment right away!
I have literally saved up to pay the full amount because the customer service is horrendous!
Definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND this card!
On top of it all after 3 years of having the card I didn't receive a single voucher!
