Felt pressured into purchasing this insurance

At the time I was with think banking when I received a call from their linked insurance team. I did not request this call, and felt pressured into purchasing, they kept phoning until I gave in. Luckily i only paid in a few times before this was stopped, I could've lost much more money. They also said about illness cover but I'd said I Was on long term sick so would be pointless, but kept on. I feel they work totally on commission due to the hard sales, I will add though this was a few years ago now, and hopefully their sales technique has since improved, but previous experience has put me off

Don't bank with Think Money

I have finally closed my Think Money account & couldn't be happier! I have had the following problems with them: 20 minutes on hold on a premium rate number trying to talk to a money manager (nearly everytime i phone), blocked my wages as my employer had changed their banking name, froze my card before xmas because they said it was seen as excessive spending (had to wait 24 hours to be able to use it again), charged £5 to replace a card after someone had emptied my bank account in America, 11 days to clear a cheque, card not accepted in lots of ATM's (nearest one is 3 miles away which will accept my card), have never spoken to my allocated money manager, unable to get a savings account and having to pay £14.50 a month is ridiculous for a computer system to separate your direct debits from your wages every month! Now banking with TSB & am now a happy bunny again.

Paying Bills by using a Managed Bank Account

A Managed Bank Account is so easy and you never have bills dropping through the letterbox unexpectedly. It could not be easier - the bank just deals with the payments each month and you never have any worries and it makes life so simple. I have had a managed bank account now for three years and have not once received that bill that I felt I was unable to pay. It is trusted and safe especially for someone like me and old aged pensioner. One can be in constant touch with a Money Manager by telephone, or you can check on your outgoings on line if you have a computer. You know exactly where you stand each month and all the worries removed.

Those of you who had bad experiences with Think Banking when it was still using that name, may be pleased to hear that you are likely to qualify for a refund of all the money you paid in charges. In my case it was £15 per month for over 3 years, and I have just been refunded the entire amount plus interest! Merry Christmas. So don't give up. Pursue these bandits for as long as it takes, and eventually they'll grow tired of challenging claims and simply pay back the money they owe you. Good luck with all your efforts.

This bank closed my account because they lost the id I sent them. With no other bank account I cudnt have my wages or tax credits paid in the next day. Hence unfed children! Didn't seem to care at all! Begged for help and they ignored it. Do NOT bank with this bank! They charge an extortionate amount for managing your account and are extremely unhelpful when you have a problem.

I was going to write a detailed review, but dealing with this outfit has left me so stressed I cant even deal with doing that. Suffice to say I am now 13 minutes on hold on an 0844 number just to get to the first point of contact. If you enjoy snotty staff, incomprehensible rules, premium rate everything and hours on hold - you'll love Think. If you arent cut out to deal with stress -avoid !

Pleasant at first

Horrendous customer service, no email contact, nothing

Hi, I recently opened a thinkmoney current account, Worst thing i've done this year so far. I sold my car two weeks ago and the dealership transferred the money straight away to my account, thinkmoney decided that because it's a large some they have to process it manually. In this day and age who operates like this with technology being so up to date. It's been two weeks and i still have no money. Rubbish customer service, they DO NOT live up to their name. They don't think and still have not given me access to my money. Banking somewhere else now, a high street bank. BE WARNED

They provide accounts for people with bad or no credit history

They are totally not ready for the banking system

Think money holding onto funds

My husband and i have taken a loan with Tesco Bank. My husband paid this loan into my think money account and guess what they have still not released it. Keep saying it is with the process department. They asked for a copy of his loan agreement which we issued to them. They have these funds sitting on my billing account sent a text message telling me that it has been transferred to card account. Still nothing, phoning daily, even spoke to my lawyer about this. Do not open or use a Thinkmoney account. Husband is going nuts as the loan could have been paid into his account but as he travels thought it would be better in my account.

Cannot tell me when they cannot move these funds into my card account

crap service

Think Money - Call Themselves a Bank!!!!

I went with Think Money last year and at first everything seemed fine. Then over a month ago, I came into some money (£16,000.00) to be exact. Two days after the money went into my salaries account, my internet banking was blocked (apparently by a technical error) I had no access to my account or money and my text messaging service was also unavailable, after spending over a month and over £100 on phone calls to their premium rate number, I have had no response from Think Money as to why this has happened and have still not had access to my money. As a single mother of a disabled child this amount of money is life changing for me, and I know notice after reading on here that I am not the only person it has happened too. How can this so called bank be allowed to continue trading when they do this to people? Its a complete and utter disgrace. Would love to hear from anyone else that is still trying to get their money back from this bunch of crooks. Maybe if we all join forces we can get something done about them, and get back what is rightfully ours. Be warned anyone thinking of joining them think again.

No postivies

Everything about this company is a rip off. Stay away from them

They charge £14.50 a month for "management fee's" they don't manage anything. The staff are thick and rude and can never deal with any requests. I have been waiting 4 weeks for a new debit card - and they seem to think I should just keep waiting. I had my account cloned and they told me to investigate myself, Worst bank ever. They refuse to do "online only" statements, so each month I get a load of wasted paper statements through the door.
