Shocking customer service. Another example of banks screwing the little guy. Trying to charge me interest and late payment charges for an account i thought i had closed. Clearing up there mess by crediting me by mistake and then claiming it back and charging interest on it. These guys are a joke...do not sign up for a virgin credit card

After months of engineer callouts and promises that the service is being "upgraded" in the Enfield area, I am still suffering frequent dropouts. According to customer services (in India of course), I had 67 disconnects over the last 24 hour period. Last time the engineer came, he was clueless as to what was wrong. Avoid like the plague!

I'm trying to think of some

Virgin Credit Card - careful with payment dates & get a credit report

Poor

  • Customer Service

  • Value for Money

  • Flexibility & Fairness

  • Product Features

The payment dates for your Virgin Credit Card varies every month, as I discovered. Having a 0% balance transfer to them I lost the deal by paying 1 day late. The same thing happened to my husband although he didnt notice straight away. I checked with others who had the Virgin card and it seems to be common practice with them. My husband also had his details taken from their system and a mortgage application was attempted in the US! He was 'red flagged' and if he makes any financial applications a warning comes up on the system for extra checks to make sure he is genuine. This caused stress and cost money to register details with experian ect. so we could watch activity. We will never use anything connected to Virgin again.

I have recently been lucky enough to pay off my Virgin Credit Card as my interest rate was through the roof, the customer service was highky unhelpful and I did pay the payment care thing and I was unfortunately made redundant in 2007 and received ?80 from them which barely even covered one months payment.
