I have been with Saga since I reached the lead in age of 50. Eight years and although I have not had to claim I cannot fault their customer service when it comes to renewal time. My premium goes down each year. I always shop around as a matter of principle but renew with Saga as they cannot be bettered with regard to my requirements. I have recommended them to friends and family a number of whom have signed up with them and been delighted.

Saga gave me the best quote on car insurance when I did the usual search & comparison. I've stayed with them again this year because even after doing another search they matched a better quote that I came up with. Even with the speeding fine that I received a few months ago. Customer service is excellent & if you have another product with them, as I have (home ins) they will give discount.

We found Saga car insurance via a Moneysupermarket trawl. Saga gave a very competitive fully comprehensive insurance deal on our Mondeo. This time they also threw in Saga Breakdown for half price. They were the cheapest and had a low Compulsory Excess. It was easy to sign up online and print our own policy. Excellent value for money. We needed to call them with a small query. The customer service was excellent and didn't require pressing too many buttons or holding on for ages.

Customer service was good. I needed to add my son who lives in New Zealand, to my policy during a visit to the UK in June. Much, cheaper than a hire car. The process was well handled by the Saga rep, and fulfilled what I required. I was happy with this experience, and it was implemented at short notice. I haven't really anything else to say. I am satisfied with the way they handled adding my son temporarily to to my car insurance.

Application was easy, via phone

Saved my old folks £500 by moving away from saga

...that was for house and car insurance, and I got them better cover. If my old folks had the internet they would have saved money even on like for like with SAGA. Shocking way to treat pensioners who trusted them - they are NOT the pensioners specialist/friend. They rip them off. Punish them for this and do not give them business.

Good cover

They milk trusting pensioners for all they are worth

When you get over a certain age, it pays to look into specialised products. With car insurance this paid off and this was the cheapest - for my sports car!

This is a reasonably priced insurance company for Over 60s. They are willing to negotiate prices over the phone and you get to speak to UK based people.

4 weeks after renewing my car insurance with Saga, I decided to change my car. Saga have quoted me double what other companies are quoting for my new car (£350 with £250 excess as opposed to £170 and £100 excess) and yet will charge me £50 if I cancel my existing policy which I've only had 4 weeks. They have no flexibility and are not in the least bit interested in rewarding loyalty. I have full no claims and no accidents in the last 20+ years. I will never insure with Saga again.

Went through a comparison website, best mix of price and policy. Bought the policy in good faith - declared everything. SAGA then started their strongarm tactics - asking for more and more information, again and again , threatening cancellation of the policy!!! An absolute l way to treat a customer - they shall not get a penny more of my money! They can shove their crusies, their Insurances and their savings packages.

Price appeared good, but not with their threatening behaviour!

Treatment of Customers is a disgrace, really - do NOT use SAGA!
