Having had mobile broadband with another supplier, I was clear what I was looking for next time round. I compared different suppliers and knew I had to be cost conscious. Plusnet discussed my needs and came up with the package for me. This package suited me both cost wise and usage too. I have recently spoken with Plusnet to check what my contract is with them and they gave me a price reduction for my continued use of their broadband. I wholeheartedly recommend Plusnet.

I've been with plusnet for over a year now, and woould have left already but for the fact I'm locked into an 18 month contract. My connection speeds are slow and my broadband unreliable. Although it is relatively cheap, there are better service providers in the same price range, who are more reliable and offer better customer service.

Was a little apprehensive switching to plusnet for my broadband and telephone after reading various mixed reviews. Anyhow took the plunge and can only praise them to the hilt. Saying that, my first bill was incorrect but after contacting there on line helpline and getting a swift reply it was resolved. End of. Noticed one day that my b.band speed had dropped considerably so again took to the online helpline - a swift reply ensued and the problem rectified within a few hours. I only have the minimum 10gb download but its enough for my needs - any downloads etc after midnight do not count as usage so if you are a bit of a night owl you can get things done then.

10gb download cap could be upped to say 20gb for low users.

Plusnet's customer service is one of the best in the industry. They don't waste your time. The information on the website with respect to the data on usage is superior as it is quite detailed. Although, I wish their broadband rates were competitive for unlimited packages.

This is the cheapest package I have had. The paying upfront of ?120 for a year's line rental mean that my monthly broadband, calls and other add ons are about ?12 - ?13 per month. I believe that there is an offer for new customers which give reduced prices. I have been with Plusnet for some 3 years now with no problems.

Mostly been fine, but was annoying when one month we had a high bill and for some reason we couldn't make outgoing calls (wasn't that we had missed a payment). With mobiles we didn't bother sorting it and the next month worked OK again

Line rental paid 12 months in advance reduces cost by 25 per cent and small monthly charge for anytime telephone calls again reduces cost by some margin.

Cheaper than most other providers.

Not much competition for short-term broadband. We didn't want a contract as we are only in a short-term let and this was pretty much the only deal!

Been with PlusNet for over 5 years and am a very happy customer. Currently pay only ?5.99 per month as I referred a friend and get 50p per month off. Speed is 6Mb/s which is excellent given the price - they upgraded my line to ASDL2+ for free which made a big difference. 10Gb limit per month can sometimes mean we come a bit close, but on the whole, we have some spare at the end. Connection is super reliable (I have my own router). Online helpdesk ticket system is amazing - they always respond SUPER quick. All in all, would thoroughly recommend them - never been tempted to take an "all in one" package with Sky as very happy with PlusNet.
