Wondering whether this pension will provide for my dotage!

As an ex-employee I worry that my pension will provide an adequate income when I retire in 8 years time. I've seen the value of it diminish since the recession. When I called them recently to ask about the new Pension options regarding not taking an annuity they didn't really have much knowledge on the options. Hopefully by the time the changes come in they will be able to give better advice and support.

Simple to operate, great adders like holiday insurance and home emergency cover. Easy to operate Internet banking allowing you to keep track of income and payments. Balance alerts and ID aware alerts are really handy as well. Easy to swap between account types if wanted and to compare other available accounts within Lloyds. There is an interest free small overdraft facility if applicable which is really simple to apply for online.

Lloyds have a new branch in Cabot Circus Bristol. Easy to get served if required, also other people there to help with banking enquiries. They have a h igh interest current account which pays 4 per cent with free cinema tickets. Helpful on phone and easy on line banking. I had to set up standing order this was done efficiently and quickly, statements always arrive, staff at this branch very helpful, some moved from other Bristol branch, nice to be recognised.

I struggle to control my finance and over the years Lloyds have been relatively fair to me and helpful, I have never had a bad experience of customer service, and their new internet banking app is great. I have also used phone banking which is an easy service to use when you are on the move. It is also not a bad account to use when abroad, I don't have too many complaints apart from that I still think charges are a bit high and unfair but this is probably the same for most bank accounts.

Excellent rate of interest better than ISA even with the tax deduction. Had been with Lloyds for years and never had any benefit form their accounts but i switched to Club as soon as I heard about the account, it took about 2 minutes, I asked at the counter and they did it there and then I have all the benefits I had with my previous current account but now I earn interest

excellent interest rate

The club lloyds current account has been excellent value, paying up to 4% on balances of up to 5k. This is really competitive. The card is also contact less now which is great for low value payments. The website is reliable and easy to use. The rewards offered is an added perk which seems to be something that only lloyds offer.

Old loans make comparison difficult

The old loan contained front end loaded PPI. When I complined to my local Lloyds branch manager to reclaim he didn't think there was aby PPI - until I gave him a photocopy of the original paperwork, then he agreeed, The PPI was successfully claimed back. For new borrowers. Make sure that there is no PPI front end loaded. Make sure that the insurance product that is sold to cover the loan is fully flexible. My Scottish Widows insurance policy could not be changed to take into account the fact that I no longer smoke (9 years now)

Lloyds may have limited their hours but they didn't just ditch us and expect our elderly population to either catch a bus or use online facilities. They listened to their customers and continue to do so - widening their product range, enabling some out-of-hours facilities. Our local Businesses Group worked alongside the team at Lloyds and helped save the bank. Thank you

Have had this account for so many years - prob now over 40 so have had little experience of others. It is OK THOUGH AWre that they must have made so much money out of us - over the years as we have not asked them to do much for us! Think that all banks are similar - want their customer loyalty bit are always trying to do just enough to keep us - rather than any great shakes for us! So having retired and have more time I am quite up for changing things like this.

I love the staff they are very friendly and couldn't do more to help when I do have a problem the only issue is when I'm paying money in they are always trying to get me to use a machine instead of talking to the staff. I have also had people try to refer me to talk about other services I can get which I'm not interested in

Great online app
