I have banked with HSBC since 1986. I have seen it good and I have seen it bad. When I first joined the bank was good for customer service which seems t have been neglected over recent years. No fault of the staff themselves. It is mainly due to staff cuts and extra pressure put on them. Telephone banking is in another country however sometimes you are lucky and manage to speak to someone in this country

I have had a current account with HSBC for 25 years. Always had good customer service and recently they helped a lot when I had probate problems to sort out. They offered a discrete and sensitive service. The only thing that would improve this would be if they were to offer interest on the current account. I don't intend to change my account.

Good customer care, easy online access.

No interest on current account. No rewards for loyalty.

My account was set up with HSBC whilst at upper school and have been with them ever since. Had the account for around 15 years now and over that time have had several loans with them and they have always offered me competitive interest rate. Online banking was very easy to set up and is used daily. Have lost my bank card on a couple of occasions too and there customer service has been great. Have no reasons to want to switch account.

I have had a current account with HSBC for 6 years now and can honestly say I have never had any issue with them, whether related to debit card, or functionality of the online banking. They seem to have all the product features I need daily, so it suits my need just fine. Customer service will only call about subscribing additional products if requested by the customer, which works great for me.

Held a current account since 1970, No problems, always helpful and willing to offer additional services if required. Online banking easy and safe. Provides all the service I would expect and need, does not offer me things I do not require from a current account. Easy to create and make payments to other members of my family.

Friendly and helpful.

Telephone banking possibly a little long winded.

I like hsbc. Maybe I could do better elsewhere but I find hsbc simple but fair. No crazy fees and charges. I know people who have had lots of problems with other current accounts not honouring payments if you go overdrawn or charging ridiculous charges so your debt spirals out of control. I have never had problems like this with hsbc.

I find the staff in the Kendal branch extremely helpful and they go out of their way to help me, especially when I've been abroad and had my card stolen while abroad. The staff in the Russell Square branch (London) are less friendly and helpful. I would prefer to earn better on my money but as it's a current account it's ok for what it is.

I have had this stakeholder pension for a number of years. This product seems to be performing better than other similar investment funds. The investments cover a wide range of products which seem to be delivering consistently good returns. An annual statement provides clear oversight of how the money has been invested and the growth of the fund in any one year. A projected forecast provides information regarding estimated pension or value of the annuity pot at the end of the scheme.

Good online facilities debit cards replaced in a couple of days just one phone call and they send you a new card through the post, easy paying money in as our local HSBC has paying in machines, when there is a problem the staff are always on hand to deal with any queries I once damaged my debit card on a Saturday afternon when the tellers desk was closed the staff bent over backwards to get me some cash from my account

Invited to a free review but spent most of the time telling us how much other services would cost and not offering any advice on what would we could do with our savings. Came away rather dissapointed as we expected more. Also any further review, we would have to pay for. Also to had to wait until the financial advisor had finished a course on how to advise!
