I have banked with HSBC since 1986. I have seen it good and I have seen it bad. When I first joined the bank was good for customer service which seems t have been neglected over recent years. No fault of the staff themselves. It is mainly due to staff cuts and extra pressure put on them. Telephone banking is in another country however sometimes you are lucky and manage to speak to someone in this country

I have had a current account with HSBC for 25 years. Always had good customer service and recently they helped a lot when I had probate problems to sort out. They offered a discrete and sensitive service. The only thing that would improve this would be if they were to offer interest on the current account. I don't intend to change my account.

Good customer care, easy online access.

No interest on current account. No rewards for loyalty.

My account was set up with HSBC whilst at upper school and have been with them ever since. Had the account for around 15 years now and over that time have had several loans with them and they have always offered me competitive interest rate. Online banking was very easy to set up and is used daily. Have lost my bank card on a couple of occasions too and there customer service has been great. Have no reasons to want to switch account.

I like hsbc. Maybe I could do better elsewhere but I find hsbc simple but fair. No crazy fees and charges. I know people who have had lots of problems with other current accounts not honouring payments if you go overdrawn or charging ridiculous charges so your debt spirals out of control. I have never had problems like this with hsbc.

I find the staff in the Kendal branch extremely helpful and they go out of their way to help me, especially when I've been abroad and had my card stolen while abroad. The staff in the Russell Square branch (London) are less friendly and helpful. I would prefer to earn better on my money but as it's a current account it's ok for what it is.

I have had this stakeholder pension for a number of years. This product seems to be performing better than other similar investment funds. The investments cover a wide range of products which seem to be delivering consistently good returns. An annual statement provides clear oversight of how the money has been invested and the growth of the fund in any one year. A projected forecast provides information regarding estimated pension or value of the annuity pot at the end of the scheme.

Current account holder for over 20 years. Good secure on-line banking portal which enables you to transfer money domestically and internationally on-line and very low cost. Updated DD online and check your account transactions all online But high multiple charges for unauthorised over drafts even if it is only a small sum that you are overdrawn.

Been with HSBC for some 45 years now ( originally the Midland ) and never had any cause for concern or complaint, hence staying with them over the years. The internet banking site is top rate and account information, both current and historical, can be easily accessed, once you become familiar with the navigation around the site. The site security needs remarking on, both due to the benefits of Trusteer Rapport ( site identification software ) and the Secure Key that gives a high level of personal security. Plus I like having an account with a high profile world wide bank.
