Every year (and it has been over 15 now that I have been with first direct), I think how can they improve, and yet they do. Not only is banking hassle free, it is also a pleasure. I mean making banking a pleasure should be an art form but they have made it into a science. Isn't that the reserve of the American or the Japanese to make service sectors stuff so pleasurable that you want to say thanks at the end of your task, surely not from humble Leeds. All I can say is just please keep up the good work.

I have found this telephone/internet form of banking brilliant. When I thought my computer had been corrupted I contacted them and they spent over three hours running tests etc on my computer to ensure safety. They are always willing to talk any issue through. They are friendly and helpful. I have been with them for years and really have no need to change.

I have never had an issue with them.24 hour banking 365 days a year.

Having been disappointed by my previous bank I am delighted with first direct, their app is excellent and clear, they send all information by text as required, you can get hold of someone at any time of night or day and all english speaking, easy to understand, nothing is too much trouble. Lost my debit card and not only was a replacement with me within a couple of days they even offered to sort out access to cash via HSBC branches if I needed it at any point.

Excellent customer service. This shows regularly in bank reviews - they consistently score very highly. Most of my banking with them is online. But when I need to call them, they are very fast to answer and very efficient and professional in all dealings. I've had bank accounts elsewhere and none came close in terms of service. No complaints in terms of fairness too.

Applied because of excellent 'Which' rating and got £100 bonus. The difference between this bank and our previous is phenomenal! The customer service is wonderful, the phone staff are chatty if you want to be, deal with queries promptly and accurately and never make you feel rushed. The website and security is very good, access to other products such as regular saver account with good interest rate.

Where do I start - they are just amazing. You are never waiting ages to get througn to them. You can understand them as they are English people not in India or god knows where. They are so lovely and helpful. I once got charged bank charges as I had misunderstood timings of when DDs etc could be added to the account and when I rang to ask why they explained it all to me then took the charges off that time without me even asking them to and I was quite prepared to pay them as it was my fault. My opinion - change to FD now!!!

Excellent service, works really well. I bank online and have had no problems. When I use phone banking, the people you talk to are all very good. It has plenty of different accounts. If you have a mortgage, the offset feature is especially good. I found this product through seeing some advertising - quirky and funny. you get rewarded if you switch to their current account which is free.

I have been banking with First Direct since 1993. Since then the number of my accounts has grown from a sole current account, to savings and mortgage. In all that time only one admin error has been made and this was put right as soon as I pointed it out to them. I used to bank over the phone with them but now I do 98% of it online with no issues whatsoever.

Customer service is brilliant. A person on the phone. I regularly recommend them. My husband worked for another bank but when we got married I insisted he change to First Direct. I always recommend them. I think they are friendly and efficient on the phone. You never have to do all that dialling to get through which I MUCH prefer. The online service was introduced much earlier than other banks.

I have had my first direct current account for about 18 years now, and would take some persuading to move. You do need to have a certain amount going through the account to avoid a monthly charge, but most people will not find that a problem. Online banking means you can monitor easily, and you can be kept up to date by text messages. There is an automatic free overdraft of £250 which is helpful. What can you say about a current account? They are all the same really, but first direct is not. Their customer service is second to none, and with 24/7 telephone contact they are worth a try ( especially as they give you £100 to join and another £100 if you are so unhappy you want to leave after 6mths)
