"I can't wait till my contract ends so I can find a decent insurance company who are able to send your money when a claim has been settled. I had to wait 3 months from the day they finalised my claim till I received my cheque. Several phone calls to find out what was happening to my claim always assured me each time it was being fixed and they were sorry about it all. The last person to help was the one who finally sorted it but even he failed when the £30 Argos voucher he said he would include for my inconvenience was not in the envelope and I doubt it will ever arrive now. Awful service."

I have my cat insured with Argos Pet Insurance On 22nd April I received a letter from Argos dated 16th April telling me that my insurance was due for renewal on 17th April!! Clearly the date for this had passed. I also received another letter dated 16th April referring to the first letter they had sent me on the 16th April asking for payment again as I had not responded to the renewal request I was appalled with this situation and particularly concerned that my cat may not be insured any more without me realising this and that I had been given no time to consider if I wanted to renew my premium based on the new price or not. I rang the call center and spoke to Chris Gareth who was not at all helpful, could not give any explanation for why this had occurred and seemed to act as if this was normal practice without even apologising for the situation. I asked to speak to a manager and was told that he could refer me to one but no one would be available to get back to me for 3 days!! I would never trust this company again and would certainly never renew with them

I have extended warranties from Argos for two of my televisions at home and also my home printer/scanner. I heard about these products from a member of Argos staff when I was buying the TV's and Printer, they told me of the option to buy an extended warranty and told me how much it would cost etc. I thought it was quite cheap considering it covered accidental damage. I have actually had to use the printer one as it stopped working last week. I returned it to the store and had it replaced with no hassle so well worth it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

No quibble instant replacement

Can be expensive for larger items

I like Argos warranty as I feel that they are a trusted company, warranty isn't too expensive and they cover common things like breakdown of item taking away worry.I'm a nurse and always yet it for fob watch although inexpensive, experience has taught me that these always stop working after about 6 months so I use warranty for this

A gift of Argos from British gas

I was lucky enough to be given an Argos prepaid gift card worth £70 when I bchanged supplier recently. Almost immediately I found a use for it. My daughter had moved house and needed a step stool as some of the cupboards were difficult to reach. There was a choice of two in the catalogue. Although the showroom was busy I was able to order very quickly and the step stool arrived within minutes. My only problem now is deciding what to buy with the rest of the money. Thank you Argos and British gas.

Argos card prepay card service review

Excellent

I enjoyed the service of the Argos card once I received it with a lovely tempting £1000 limit, Christmas was round the corner so I decided hey ho why not great people. Unfortunately I lost my job soon after and once you stop being able to keep up with the monthly payments, the interest rates are really high so you end up paying back a lot more than you bargained for! Its a good thing to have if your job is secure and you can keep up the payments but my advice to anyone wanting one is dont over spend what you can't afford and keep up the payments. The service is good if all up to date. You can buy now pay in 6 months on certain products and depending how much you spend determines how long you get to pay back. I would recommend this to people in a secure job position but to others then I would just say save your money and pay when you can actually afford to.

We chose this insurance for our dog because it was the cheapest, with good value online at the time. It covers all basic needs such as vet fees, accidents, third party, theft and death. Argos website was very simple and the procedure to apply very easy. No frills but no spills either. Straightforward and good value for money

Insured 3 dogs on a multi- policy. Claimed twice for one dog. Quick to resolve claim even emergency vet costs and paid my usual vets direct. Good customer service, value for money policy. Would recommend. Just hope renewal is not too expensive!

I found this product through a price comparison website. I tend to move insurance provider each year using a comparison tool to save the most amount of money. Argos were not the lowest priced quote, they were the third lowest, but I didn't recognise the two lowest companies and decided to go with a company I had heard of. I am fully comp with business use and my partner is a named driver. I also protect my 10 years no claims bonus. The excess we have to pay in case of an accident is only £200. It was very easy to set up the insurance cover as it was all done online. I bought a new car halfway through the policy and found it very easy to swap the cover after speaking to a member of staff in the call centre. Although it was easy to do, I was charged a £25 admin fee for making the changes.
