I switched my car insurance from Direct Line because I wasn't happy with them. The price just for some reason kept going up every year. They couldn't possibly match any other price out there, and that wasn't good enough for me. I phoned Liverpool Victoria and they were so welcoming and happy to help me. They gave me an amazing price and the customer service is the best I've ever encountered

I was recommended through word of mouth by a friend and for the first time in years stuck with an insurance company for a second year. The website is easy to use and the operators on the phone are polite friendly and very knowledgeable. I had a claim against me and they made everything so easy and put me at my ease when I was worrying. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Have been with LV for years and when my teenage son started to learn to drive shopped around for prices but couldn't beat LV for price. Now he is driving the price has increased but still better than a lot of others. Never had any problems with them and find they are easy to get in touch with and not left waiting for hours on the phone!

I found this company several years ago as a result of using a comparison site. Each year at renewal I compare again, but for the past couple of years they have been the most competitive on a like for like basis. My wife is a named driver on the policy as well as myself (the policy holder). 6 years ago she had a no fault accident where a van went into the rear end of car whilst stationary at traffic lights. LV were excellent in the way they looked after us with repairs done quickly, courtesy car provided and excess waived, through legal protection. I would urge every one to get a quote.

Been with LV on and off for a number of years and although I can sometimes get a better deal with special offers their prices are always good. They may not be the absolute rock bottom price that you can get for motor insurance but I feel you're buying peace of mind. The thing I like most is their UK call centres and helpful staff.

Honest, genuine helpful staff who helped us when my husband had an accident and the repair centre were useless. They chased the repair centre and although the car went back in as the work was not very good, they kept in touch with us and offered compensation for the time we were without a car. I would recommend them to others as they offer a complete service and are there to help rather than avoid paying up or helping their customers.

This is the second year I have been with them. It made a change for the insurance to stay the same and not go up sharply the second year so I stayed with them. Never had to make a claim so cannot review on that basis. I found the product through a comparison website. I have never had to use the customer service so cannot comment on it.

I have just had to make a claim with LV and have found there has been something of a sea-change in the way they handle their customers. It's difficult to get through to someone to initiate a claim, and all the while they try to make you pay for as much of the recovery work and vehicle assessment as possible. They try to push you down a route of not claiming at all. When you've just been in an accident, even a relatively minor one and have concerns about your car, their attitude and service was unfortunately rather unsatisfactory. In 2008, I made a claim for a minor crash, and they couldn't have been more helpful. It seems this company and others like them have come to the conclusion that customers are something of a nuisance. They seem to want to avoid helping people as much as possible. This needs to change and fast.
