Low-income families can now apply for a Home Access grant and get free computers and internet access.

What's the deal?

If you are a low-income family then under the government's Home Access scheme, you could qualify for a grant to buy a computer and pay for a minimum of 12 month's internet access.

Depending on what you need, the Home Access grant will let you buy one of the following packages:

  1. Full package (computer, 12 month's internet access, service and support).

  2. A computer with service and support only.

  3. 12 month's internet access only.

How do I benefit?

If you are a parent and think you are eligible then call 0333 200 1004 for an application form.

You may be eligible for a Home Access grant if:

  • You are a parent/guardian living with a child who is in school years 3 to 9.

  • You receive free school meals for your child, income support or Jobseeker's Allowance.

Full details on eligibility can be found at www.homeaccess.org.uk.

once again we see discrimination against the elderly, once again we who suffered the horror and deprivation of a world war and all the loss and terror associated with years of rebuilding the " land fit for heroes" find ourselves at the bottom of the pile when it comes to benefits and cash handouts, readily available to schoolchildren, who have irresponsibly had a couple of kiddies and are firmly established on the gravy train. long live "fair shares for all" !!. well you did ask .???
