Yorkshire and Clydesdale Extend Mortgage Offers

Customers switching mortgages to Yorkshire and Clydesdale banks are to benefit from a new deal.

Yorkshire and Clydesdale banks have announced plans to extend current deals which offer no arrangement fees for new customers.

The mortgage providers will waive arrangement feeds for new customers looking to remortgage to a number of different products. The discount, which could save up to £999, is available on certain fixed and offset mortgages. Flexible payment mortgages are also included in the offer.

Borrowers with a mortgage of over £300,000 could also qualify for free legal fees. However this relies on customers using either Yorkshire Bank or Clydesdale Bank-appointed solicitors.

Yorkshire Bank was named the best regional lender by Your Mortgage magazine last year, while Clydesdale Bank picked the award for the best mortgage lender in Scotland.

At the time, Paula John, editor in chief of Your Mortgage, said: "Yorkshire Bank has an enviable track record, having picked up the award for 'Best Regional Lender' ten times in total over the years.

"The bank's achievements are particularly impressive in the current, extremely challenging, market conditions. At a time when borrowers need the reassurance of competitive mortgages and excellent service more than ever, Yorkshire Bank has once again come up trumps."
