The millionaire has put his whole life, including his Lordship title, up for sale on Ebay after being diagnosed with cancer.
Eccentric British millionaire David Piper has announced he is selling his whole life, including his official title as 'Lordship of the Manor of Warleigh', on Ebay after discovering he has cancer.
His 'for sale' lifestyle encompasses everything you would expect from a Lord and includes a 6 acre farm, a seafront hotel, guest house and art cafe, two Bentleys, a collection of modern art and, of course his official title.
Piper decided to advertise his entire life as part of a single, highly covetable package after receiving his diagnosis. While he has gone on record as hoping to raise upwards of £4 million ($8 million) from the sale, the eccentric 58-year-old has thus far collected just £15,200 ($30,000) from the items.
The businessman is relocating from Plymouth to London to be nearer his family as he battles an aggressive form of prostate cancer, and his decision to downsize is a necessary result.
Mr Piper commented: "I am hoping to sell my entire life and lifestyle to one buyer if they have the money. It is all there, the property, the brace of Bentleys, the paintings the businesses and the books."
He added: "I have a lot of assets but I am impoverished. I have no money and I owe a lot of money - one of my daughters helped me put everything on eBay but I will only go down that route if the right offer comes along. I am selling everything as a package but I am willing to talk to anyone about selling the title or the cars or the property."
Viewers of Mr Piper's auction page on eBay have pointed out a possible reason for his only collecting a four-figure sum thus far: none of the items which have been put on sale are pictured.
The sell-off ends just after 6am next Monday.
