Virgin Money are offering 0% for 15 months on balance transfers. Why pay interest on your credit card?

What's the deal?

Virgin Money are currently offering a credit card with 0% on balance transfers for 15 months. If you're currently paying interest on a big credit card balance looking to switch could be well worth your while.

How do I benefit?

To apply for this credit card simply visit the Virgin site and enter your details as requested. You get to choose the colour of your credit card (from virgin red, cool black and pretty pink) and will get an instant decision so there's no waiting around.

During the application process you have the option to enter details of the balances you'd like transferred. It pays to fill in these details right away as the 15 month offer starts from the day your Virgin account is opened. So, by making your balance transfer request on application you'll be maximising the time you get interest free.

There is a 2.98% balance transfer charge applied however this is the lowest available fee for this length of interest free deal. If you think you'll be able to clear your balance in less than 15 months it can pay to go for a credit card with a lower fee and shorter offer period.

Expiry:

You'll be charged interest on your transferred balances at a rate of 15.9% 15 months from the date you are approved for your card.

Conditions:

To be eligible for a Virgin Money credit card you will need to be a UK resident over the age of 18 and have a bank or building society account. Additionally, as the Virgin Money credit card is a member of the MBNA family if you already have an MBNA card there is a chance that you'll be given a lower credit limit or even declined.
