Cash In Your Unwanted Gift Vouchers ExpiryMoney Saving Tip

Don't leave them lying around any longer - find out how to trade in your unwanted Christmas gift vouchers.

Everyone has gift vouchers left over from Christmas that they know they’ll never spend. This year, rather than leaving them to collect dust why not trade them in?

What’s the deal?

UnwantedVoucher.co.uk is an ingenious website that lets you trade in your unwanted gift vouchers for different vouchers or cash, giving you the opportunity to turn an unused present into something you’ll enjoy.

How to benefit

Visit http://www.unwantedvoucher.co.uk/ and select whether you want to ‘swap your unwanted vouchers for another type’ or ‘turn your unwanted vouchers into cash’.

You’ll then need to select the brand of vouchers you want to swap (they accept a pretty comprehensive selection including all the big high street names such as Marks and Spencers, Arcadia and WHSmith), enter their total value, what condition they are in and whether they have an expiry date.

UnwantedVouchers.co.uk will then offer you a trade in price for your vouchers. This will fall somewhere between 70% and 90% of your voucher’s sale value and you will generally get a better return for a voucher-voucher swap than for a voucher-cash trade in. If you’re swapping vouchers for vouchers you’ll also need to select which variety you’d like in return.

If you accept their offer they’ll forward you a pre-paid envelope in which you will need to return your gift vouchers (recorded delivery is available for £2.50 if you’re cautious about sending them through the regular post).

You will then receive your swapped vouchers or cash return within 7 days.

Expiry date

UnwantedVoucher.co.uk won’t accept gift vouchers after they’ve expired or within 3 months of their expiry date. However, not all gift vouchers specify an expiry date so it’s well worth checking even if you’ve had them lying around for years.

Conditions

There is a maximum voucher value of £300 and a minimum of £10 for any one swap.
