How to cut your utility bills

If you're not sure whether your water supply is metered or not you should contact your water company to find out. Contact details will either be on your most recent bill, or are available from the Ofwat website.

Most new build properties are now fitted with water meters as standard. Similarly if you're a new tenant or a new home owner it's likely that the water company will ask to fit a water meter at your property.

It's worth noting that if your property is metered, it's unlikely that you'll be able to switch back to a mains water supply.
