Many water companies bill on a quarterly or half-yearly basis, so it will simply be a case of dividing the total by the number of months the bill spans.

Some customers receive two bills from different companies, one for water supply and the other for sewerage charges. If this is the case for you, add both monthly totals in to your calculation.
